Markets in Vietnam are a hub for the local community and have an electric buzz to them. Markets can be home to food stalls, clothing, sports goods or souvenirs, and are as much an experience as they are a chance to grab a bargain. The Cu Chi tunnels are a remarkable eye-opener to war-time in Vietnam, and doing a scooter tour with a local guide is a great way to see the city.
The Mekong Delta is a network of rivers, farms and rice paddies. Many Vietnamese live traditional lives here, but it’s also well set up to host visitors interested in seeing the floating markets and local villages. Find out more about our summer Vietnam volunteer program below.
